Keep It Simple During The Holidays!


Keeping it simple for the holidays can be a very effecting way for you to enjoy your time with your family without having to worry or feel guilty if you indulge a little,

Here are a few simple steps I use and have found them to be very helpful for my clients.

1. KEEP WORKING OUT! This is at the top of my list because if you keep on track with your training it will keep you on track with your goals. Just because its the Holidays doesn't mean you can slack off on your training.

2. PLAN AHEAD! Try to plan ahead. Stick to your normal eating patterns and training routine leading up to the holidays so you can enjoy yourself on the holiday. Total deprivation is not a healthy way to spend the holidays.

3. DRINK UP! Make sure you are keeping up with your water intake. It can be quite a task to make sure you are drinking enough water. With all the errands, cooking and traveling it can be easy to get dehydrated.

4. DONT SKIP THE GREENS! Vegetables are a must every time of year especially during the holidays when you tend to be eating a lot more. Veggies are a great way to add volume to your dish so you will feel like you are eating more then you actually are.

5. MOVE! Like Number 1 says, keep working out. This doesn't mean you have to do a full blown gym session on a holiday but it is very important to get some kind of activity in.
